SIB recently overheard someone lamenting over their lack of ''Mojo''. ''If I could just get my Mojo back'' They said, ''Then, I could really start doing what I should be doing.'' Hmmm… what is this mysterious Mojo that will enable someone to become a human wonder? Can you bottle it? Put it in a slick package and sell it on QVC? We checked Ebay - no luck. They were fresh out of Mojo. We asked around and here's the best answer we found:
If you wait around for some Mojo to fall in your lap, you'll be waiting for a long time. What you need to do is simply make a decision and stick with it. The rest will fall in line.
So, making a decision is the cure for lack of motivation. What are you waiting for? More time? More money? These are the two key elements most folks feel they lack when it comes to pursuing their dreams. If I had the money, if I only had the time… What if those two things were gifted to you right now? If you've never truly made a decision to make your dream a reality by having at least a plan of action on paper, then all you'll wind up with is a lot of time and money that will be spent on other stuff besides your goal.
Make a decision today to write your dream or goal on paper and then day by day add to the plan by creating action steps that you can take now. Maybe you don't have the money to build out a space for your hair salon but can you go register the name and start looking at spaces where you'd like to set up business.
Ok, so you don't have a publisher … yet. What's stopping you from writing a page a day and creating a buzz for your book by talking about it, putting up a web page with a few snippets from the book or talking with someone about designing a book cover for you? ''Cinch by the inch'' is an old adage that will take you far as you make a decision to go after the dream in your heart and persistently apply your self to doing at least one thing everyday that will bring you closer to your goal. SIB would love to brainstorm with you on things you can do - but first YOU must make a decision. What is yours going to be?
Drop us a line! Tell us what decision helped you get your ''Mojo'' back.
